Upon entering this home, I felt it needed a restrained interior in a light colour palette to contrast against the dark interior. It reminded me of the beautiful South American homes I love, with its use of timber, lush foliage and how it opens up to the exterior. To work with the dark timber walls, I wanted to bring in some woodgrain in lighter and similarly dark tones, leather and some stone… The rug (from Temple Fine Rugs) is a divine barely-there off-white colour, which anchors the living area with the Togo lounge (Ligne Roset) and gorgeous Flax lounge chair (Ligne Roset). A stone-topped coffee table (Ligne Roset), ceramic pebble and leather ottoman (Cosh Living) and walnut stool (Living Edge) make up the rest of the pieces in the living area, all softened by cushions and a bedcover used as a throw from Editeur. On the side table is a gorgeous Studio Vierkant pot from Cosh Living and beside the fireplace are beautiful antique sculptures from Kartique and an antique Burmese pot, also from Kartique. You will also find ceramic sculptures from Sarah Keirle and Tarad Studio, plus functional pieces from Tarad and other items from Sourc. Studio here and nearby in the kitchen. The hero of the kitchen, aside from the kitchen itself (!), are the BassamFellows stools - so divine… I was so excited about these. The outdoor living area is all Cosh Living, including the lanterns. An intimate living /TV zone features another rug from Temple Fine Rugs, Ligne Roset sofa, Living Edge chair and Cosh Living coffee table. Books are from Boffins Books and, again, decorative objects area from Sarah Keirle, Tarad Studio and Kartique. A peek in the bedroom and you will see the totally divine Pure Linen linen bedding from the stonewash range - again one of my favs - and beautiful potted greenery from Little Leaf Co.
