Bring warmth and a sanctuary feel to this urban design. The owners wanted to feel like they were in Noosa or Port Douglas, so I went for a tone-on-tone pale palette with aged, natural and walnut timbers with a mix of antique, iconic and new. We also redesigned the study, taking out the existing colour and bringing in timber tones in harmonious and practical cabinetry; put in a long cantilevered bench in the TV room; and created a 6m long daybed on the interior rooftop lounge. We also brought in beautiful outdoor pieces and pots on all levels.
